«Education Without Limits»: Support of Internally Displaced Educators

From the first days of the full-scale war in Ukraine, a massive wave of internally displaced persons from all over the country have fled to the western regions. A considerable number of these people, including the members of trade union, were settled in educational institutions.

Due to temporary residence and stay in educational institutions of teachers and children who are internally displaced persons, it was necessary to organize a quality educational process through distance learning technologies.

With the assistance of UNDP, the NGO «Institute of Public Education and Labor» and the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine, a grant project «Education without Limits» was implemented by opening educational spaces for internally displaced teachers, lecturers and students in western regions of Ukraine, namely: Truskavets, Lviv and Uzhhorod.

The aim of the project is to provide teachers with continuous access to the learning process, conditions for work; support for children and youth in giving opportunities for learning and further development.

Teachers among internally displaced persons are given the opportunity to work remotely in their educational institution. There is also an opportunity to hold various meetings, trainings, extracurricular activities for methodological training and preparation for the lessons etc.

Events are organized for displaced educators and community representatives to promote dialogue, social cohesion and adaptation of teachers to new working and living conditions.
