637 children have died in Ukraine as a result of Russia's armed aggression
According to official information from juvenile prosecutors and the National Police of Ukraine, 637 children have died and more than 2,006 have been injured to varying degrees. In total, more than 2,600 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression.
The highest number of children affected were in the following regions: Donetsk – 645, Kharkiv – 495, Kherson – 214, Dnipropetrovsk – 242, Kyiv – 146, Zaporizhzhia – 185, Mykolaiv – 120, Sumy – 142.
Unfortunately, this information is not final. Work is ongoing to establish the exact number in areas of military operations and temporarily occupied territories.
These figures are growing every year – most of the victims were children living in regions most affected by shelling and bombing.
War claims the most precious thing children can have – their life. No child should ever have to know what war is.
